About Vinyl
Nothing beats a high quality vinyl fence from
Future Fence & Deck. We only use virgin vinyl products with the
highest quantity of UV inhibitors and impact modifiers. This makes
our vinyl the strongest and most durable in the industry. Our
quality vinyl products never chip, crack, peel, flake or rot. They
will never discolor, warp or be eaten by termites. A
quality vinyl fence, deck or gazebo from Future Fence & Deck
will never need replacing. NEVER !!
A quality vinyl fence adds both aesthetic beauty
and drive-by appeal to any home while adding real investment value.
What is vinyl?
In the fence & decking industry, “vinyl” is short for Poly Vinyl
Chloride (PVC). Vinyl has been used for over 60 years for
irrigation pipe, over 40 years in vinyl siding and windows and
over 30 years for fencing.
What makes vinyl a superior
product for outdoor construction use?
A quality vinyl product that is
properly ultra violet (UV) ray protected and impact modified has
been proven to provide a lifetime of maintenance-free use while
maintaining its beautiful appearance.
What determines if a
product is “quality vinyl”?
In the vinyl fence & deck
industry this is the 64 million dollar question. There are
several factors that determine a vinyl product’s quality. The
first and most important factor is formulation. Without the
right formulation even the thickest, heaviest, prettiest product
will succumb to the UV effects of the sun and will become
brittle, yellow and ultimately will fail. Determining a quality
formulation is similar to determining a quality medication. It
is not the size of the pill that matters; it is the medicine
inside the pill that counts. A quality vinyl formulation will be
made of virgin vinyl resin and will not contain recycled scrap
plastics or fillers. A quality vinyl will have the proper
quantity of ultra violet inhibitors such as Titanium Dioxide
(Ti02) to shield the product from the destructive effects of the
sun, like becoming brittle and yellowing. The amount of UV
inhibitor is also the key. Virtually all manufacturers boast UV
protection but often do not have enough to protect their product
for the long haul. A product with inadequate amounts of UV
inhibitors may look and perform fine for a while but will too
soon become brittle and yellow. A quality vinyl product will
contain impact modifiers to make the product strong enough to
withstand the beating and pounding of normal daily use.
Also, a quality vinyl will have
the proper thickness. Although thickness is not as important as
formulation, thickness does matter. If all aspects of
formulation are equal, the thicker the better. However,
thickness alone means very little in relation to quality.
Design matters too
And honestly, a quality vinyl
product will have exceptional design. Some manufacturers design
their products for appearance; some for strength; and some,
merely for cost effectiveness. Some products utilize thinner
vinyl and then add aluminum, steel, or wood stiffeners for
strength. This often is a sign of an inferior product. Although
the stiffener may create a stronger structure, it is usually
used with thinner vinyl. The thinner vinyl cannot withstand as
much impact, causing cracking in moderate to low-impact
conditions.
Some products are glued or fused
together in panels, requiring replacement of the entire section
in the event of damage. This type of product usually requires
brackets and screws to install. A high quality product will have
a component design. Individual pieces routed together to
minimize repair costs in the event of damage.
Another determination of a
quality design is proper span widths. The thinner the vinyl is,
the shorter the allowable span distance or section width. Most
manufacturers maximize the section widths in order to minimize
cost. This, in and of itself, is not a bad concept. No one wants
to pay more than they have to. However, most of the time the
longer sections are weaker and allow sagging, especially in the
hotter climate areas of the world. Some fence designs require
stiffeners to achieve the longer span widths. Some better
designs do not require stiffeners and or use shorter section
widths.
The highest quality products
start with the best formulation, use the thickest components in
a superior design and maintain the shortest section widths for
optimal strength and durability.
At Future Fence&
Deck we only
use the highest quality vinyl. Our vinyl products have four
times the tensile strength of wood and five times the
flexibility of wood. We use only component products and we use
shorter span widths on our fence designs. We promote our
“Premium” product line, which utilizes the thickest components
in the industry. And we offer a mid-grade and economy line of
products with thinner materials for the economy-minded buyer. We
add in excellent installation and superior service to make
Future Fence & Deck the “Leader in Vinyl Fencing and Outdoor
Products.”
Why vinyl?
If you have entered this website
it is probably because you are tired of watching your fence,
deck, pergola or other backyard feature to your home rot, rust,
weather, deteriorate and detract from the beauty of your home.
Maybe you are tired of watching past investments in your home
dissolve away like a “crashing stock market”. Maybe your
backyard fence, deck or other backyard feature no longer
functions like it should. Your fence is falling down and you can
no longer contain your children or your pets. Your deck has
reached the point where it is no longer safe to walk on. Your
pergola or gazebo is no longer safe to sit under. If you have a
wood fence, deck or pergola this will be your concern sooner
than later.
And, maybe you are tired of
robbing from your quality time to stain that weathered fence or
deck just to try and protect its value and your investment.
Maybe you are tired of spending quality time and more and more
of your money repainting and restaining your fence or deck, just
trying to keep it looking as pretty as it did when you first
installed it. Maybe you’ve been around long enough to realize
that all you’re doing is throwing your hard-earned money away
repainting and repairing an old, weathered, rotting,
termite-infested fence or deck that sooner than later you will
have to replace anyway. Often having to replace your fence or
deck just so you can sell your property to someone else.
Why vinyl? Because it lasts
a lifetime !!!
Buy that beautiful fence, deck,
pergola, patio cover, gazebo, arbor or bench once and enjoy it
forever. With vinyl you never need to paint it, stain it, treat
it, or most importantly, replace it. Vinyl never rots, rusts,
flakes, peels or deteriorates. Termites don’t eat it, moisture
doesn’t hurt it, the sun doesn’t hurt it, and did I mention—you
never replace it.
Vinyl adds aesthetic value to
your home, it adds curb appeal to your home when you sell it, it
adds appraisal value to your home and it adds hours and hours of
free time when you don’t have to maintain it.
